Two out of every five "professional" sales people fail because of lack of training. And in a recent survey, over 50% of sales managers surveyed said they did not have time to provide training to their sales staff.

In an unscientific survey I've conducted over the past few years, I've asked sales people one simple question to test their skills - "Why should anyone buy from you". Maybe one out of ten will respond with a memorable answer - something other than "we have great service."
